FSHD Global Research Foundation

FSHD (Facioscapulohumeral Dystrophy) is an inheritable muscle disease, characterised by the progressive weakening and loss of skeletal muscles. There is no known cure or treatment for FSHD.

Studies estimate that FSHD affects 7 in 100,000 people, making it one of the most prevalent forms of muscular dystrophy. Bill Moss himself has FSHD.
The FSHD Global Research Foundation is an Australian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to finding a treatment and cure for FSHD.
Since inception in 2007, FSHD Global Research Foundation has committed $8.3 million to fund 40 ongoing medical research grants in 9 countries; the USA, Canada, the Netherlands, Italy, France, Belgium, Spain New Zealand and Australia. The Foundation does not operate like an average not for profit. They allocate 100% of all cash tax deductible donations received to current and future medical research grants.
